The speed of light is a universal physical consonant or a Velocity of light that is equivelant to 299,792,458 per second. It is commonly donated as $c$ , hence $e=mc^2$ . According to Einstein's Theory of Relativity, $c$ is the upper limit for the speed for massless particles (and thus any signal that carries information) can travel to space.
